The first project using Nuet lattice bricks, carried out by Bona Fide Taller, highlights the human scale of the orchard, organizing its varying levels, pathways, and irrigation ditches. At the intersection of these lines, two pergolas are situated, transforming the open space into a gathering place.
The perforated element, laid out continuously, appears as a subtle, abstract veil—a ceramic surface that filters light, air, and sight without losing its depth or presence. The enclosure is constructed using 15×15×7 lattices with both open and closed intersections, combined to create varying densities within a single format.
In combination with ceramic spacers, the system is fitted and erected atop the existing courses. Grouting with lean mortar allows for its disassembly and the potential reuse of the pieces.
