Cremadors de l´Horta

The first intervention built with Nuet lattice blocks highlights the human scale of the orange groves, whose irrigation channels, paths, and subtle changes in level structure the landscape. At the intersection of these lines, two cremadors settle and transform the open ground into a place to dwell.

The perforated piece, laid in continuity, reads as a subtle and abstract veil. A ceramic plane that filters light, air, and views without losing thickness or presence. The enclosure is built with 15×15×7 lattice blocks of cruces abiertas y cruces cerradas, combined to achieve varying degrees of density within a single format.

Working with ceramic shims, the system is adjusted and raised over the existing courses. Pointed with lean mortar, it allows for disassembly and the potential reuse of the pieces.

An ephemeral installation that reinterprets the traditional cremador through a simple, open, and reusable ceramic system.
